About Minnesota Presenters Network

Our Goals

Increase communications
  • MPN acts as a tool to share, distribute and exchange information pertinent to Minnesota presenters including booking, artist fees, contact information and other issues.
Tour development
  • MPN stimulates cooperative projects through booking and block-booking information exchange, as well as access to diverse artists through reduced-price, cooperative booking.
Professional development
  • MPN offers seminars and lectures as part of the annual meetings.
  • MPN encourages ethical practices in the presenting field.

Our History2017 MPN Summer Conference

MPN was formed in 1992 and has grown to include its present membership representing almost 50 organizations of all sizes. MPN is now incorporated
as a Minnesota non-profit corporation.

MPN encourages membership from organizations interested in the exchange
of ideas  between presenters. It is important to note that MPN includes
both urban and rural organizations.

Our Meetings

MPN meets at least twice each year and combines its business meeting with discussions on
critical topics such as statewide arts funding, organizational development, block-booking opportunities, as well as emerging issues in the performing arts world. One meeting each year is devoted to a block-booking session – typically at the Arts Midwest Conference, held each year in September.

Other meetings are held in different communities throughout the state, which provides members the opportunity to visit other performance venues.
